Proud Moment

The Olympic Trials for Track & Field are going on in Eugene, Oregon right now.  Lolo Jones is strutting her stuff and showing the world she is still one of the best.  However, there is someone else out there...my amazing brother.  Monday were the prelims for Men's Discus.  There were 24 amazing athletes competing in this event.  Top 12 are taken to the finals today.  My brother. He made it.  10th. Today is the day he has dreamed about most of his life.  London could be right around the corner for him.  I could not be more proud of my brother.  He has got more determination and heart than any person I have ever met.  His biggest dream is coming true. 

Good Luck Chase!!  Everyone at home loves you and is super proud of you no matter what :)

Flashback Friday

Two years ago I went on a double date to Tally's with Jeff, Lauren and Jordan.  Before we could leave, I had to ask Lauren if my outfit had too much grey in it.  I was worried about what my boyfriend (who wore the same things all the time) would think.  Talk about high maintenance.  So glad that now I could care less what I wear on dates.

5 Years

It has been 5 years since I graduated high school.  Its so hard to believe.  I had my 5 year reunion this weekend.  Only about 25 out of our 200+ class came.  Oh well.  We had a pretty great time.  It was mostly people I see anyway.

Am I the only one that has changed since high school?!  I am ridiculously glad that I have changed in 5 years.  I wasn't the cutest thing ever but serrrriously.  There were a few other people that look like their senior year picture too.  Hmm wonder what our 10 year is going to be like.

I haven't washed my hair since Friday.  My curls have somehow managed to stay in.  I am going to see if I can go tomorrow without washing my hair too!  Haha. Love summer!

I am clearly aware that fun. has been making music since 2009 but their newest album is probably the best album I have heard in a long freaking time.  Being part of the 'scene' back in the day, I was in love with The Format, there was something about them that I could never get enough of.  So when fun. came along I was one happy camper once again.
Anyway, Some Nights is the best album on so many levels.  I can honestly say there is not a single song on the record that I do not like.  The lyrics and music are pretty damn close to perfect.  If you have not already, get the record.  I promise you will not be disappointed.
