In exactly one week I will be completing my  last day of my Bachelors Degree.  The day has finally come.  So extremely excited to be done with college...for now.

420

Best thing about teaching 5th graders on 4/20 is they have no idea what it is.  It is just another day for them.  I went the whole day for the first time in years without hearing "420 hurr hurr".

Woa

It looks like I've been lacking on the posts.  I have a ton saved so get ready for a spam!

fun.

I am clearly aware that fun. has been making music since 2009 but their newest album is probably the best album I have heard in a long freaking time.  Being part of the 'scene' back in the day, I was in love with The Format, there was something about them that I could never get enough of.  So when fun. came along I was one happy camper once again.
Anyway, Some Nights is the best album on so many levels.  I can honestly say there is not a single song on the record that I do not like.  The lyrics and music are pretty damn close to perfect.  If you have not already, get the record.  I promise you will not be disappointed.

Just a few of my favorites.

4 Days

Can't wait to be in Chicago with my favorite boys!
Can't wait to be the typical tourist and take pictures by the Bean.
Also can't wait to watch the river turn green for St. Patty's Day :)

#Kony2012

I want and could start a raging war on a Facebook status right now.  I won't though.  I will take the high road and let people be stupid and speak their minds.

All I have to say is its not about how much the dudes make a year.
It's not about the accessories they produce.
It's not about those who have fake interest.

It's about what the dudes have done.
It's about spreading the word and advocating.
It's about those who have genuine interest.

IT'S ABOUT THEM DOING SOMETHING MORE THAN WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

*Proud supporter of Invisible Children, the dudes who started it, the work they have done and everything in between*

Throw back

I am on a Jimmy Eat World (jimmy eats the world as my mom still calls them) kick.  This is one band from my early high school days that will never get old to me.  These are just a couple of my favorites.

I really hate that A Cinderella Story is the video to this but oh well.  This is my all time favorite Jimmy Eat World song.  It gets me every time it comes through my speakers.

Oh my little First Name Basis,
Mommy doesn't hate you.  She promises.  The real world has just gotten in the way a bit.  She promises to come back to you soon.  She is starting to feel withdraws from you.  Just remember she will always love you and will always come back.  She is never too far away :)

Samuel Larsen - Stormy Weather (The Kooks Cover)

My new Glee star crush. Its 20 year old boys like this that make my 23 year old self feel like a creepy cougar.

Sweet Tunes

Just a few 'love' songs I'm diggin these days.

Foy Vance - Indiscriminate Act of Kindness

Jess Penner - The Lucky One

Matthew Perryman Jones - Only You

William Fitzsimmons

It's been an exciting past month and this girl is the happiest she has ever been.
Life is amazing.
Student teaching is the best thing in the world.
The boy is the best thing in the world.
J is moving 30 min away from me instead of an hour and a half away!
Rick Perry dropping out of the presidential race is some awesome news.
St Patty's Day trip with two of my favorite boys is in the making and coming up! (even though its still two months away)
All my bills from my old apartment are paid off.
aaaaaand Johnny Depp is single!

Life is good.

the only thing that isn't so awesome is living an hour and a half away from L and 12 hours from R.

Remember when...

I used to be super obsessed with music and would inform all you lovely kiddos about what to buy and what to stay away from?
Yeah, it's hard for me to remember too.
My life is so busy these days that I don't have time to just sit on iTunes and listen to music like I used to.

But you are in luck because about ten minutes ago I did just that.

So here you go!

Must Haves:
Anthony Green - Beautiful Things
First Aid Kit - The Lion's Roar
Kathleen Edwards - Voyageur
The Big Pink - Future This
Anthony Raneri - New Cathedrals EP  (this is the lead singer of Bayside)
Early Winters - Early Winters
Stealing Sheep - Noah and the Paper Moon

*fun fact:  I never paid for this jersey.  I put this picture on FB. I'm sure the dude who I was supposed to pay for it will let me know I still owe him.  Do I care?  Nope!

Miss Madison
