Both of these ladies.  Obviously my momma has been my best friend since September 30, 1988.  But Lauren has also been my best friend since May 23, 1990.  I don't know what I would do without either of them.

The one on the left is exactly what he looked like 10 years ago when I was bawling my eyes out because I was seeing him with my own two eyes.  He and JC look right at Lauren and I.  They did, I swear :)

In Human Relations today, we got extra credit if we had met someone famous.
So of course I say that I have met a ton of bands but if I had to choose just one person to talk about it would be Conor Oberst.
My teacher proceeds to ask where and how I met him and what he does.
My response:
"I met him in Omaha through his drummer, went backstage, went on the tour bus and then went back to his house.  He sings, is adorable, and you (meaning my teacher) should check him out."
My teacher replies:
"I'm old.  It would be weird if I thought he was adorable and youuuuu need to be careful with band boys." all while giving me a I BET YOU SLEPT WITH HIM look.
sooo I clarified with her and the rest of the class:
"I did not sleep with him and I am not a groupie"

Wow when did I get to brave and talkative in class?

I spent

13 hours and 15 minutes on campus today.

Okay, I used to HATE the Jersey Shore but my roommate and I got addicted to it last season.  The boys are hilarious.
I kind of think I would pay a lot of money to hang out with Vinny.





it also makes me feel better about how lame Lauren and I are sometimes.

Pros & Cons

There are pros and cons of living alone.
Not sure if I like it or not yet.
It has only been 24 hours but just knowing that she won't walk through the door for 4 months is a bit weird.

Pros:
- peace and quiet
- taking as long of a shower as I want without worrying about her having hot water
- I don't have to worry about being loud when getting ready in the morning
- I can crank the music as loud as I want
- I can go to the bathroom with the door open (although I won't do this)
- If I have people over I don't need to worry

Cons:
- No one to talk to, laugh with or watch Jersey Shore with
- No more partner in crime
- No one to pick you up when you're down
- No one to cause havoc with
- No one to do cartwheels at 4:30 in the morning with
- No one to discuss crazy Melatonin dreams with
- Far too quiet

Post Secret is usually the first website besides Facebook that I check on Sunday mornings.  I usually really enjoy reading the secrets people send in.  Well, today, there was one I was not very happy with...

Who is this person to judge people by the shoes that they wear?  If this person ever met me between the months of March and November, they would automatically not like me due to the fact that I am hardly ever seen NOT in TOMS during those months.  And the fact that they say "kind of people".  What? you hate the "kind of people" that like to give back and help those less fortunate?  Yeah, that is really the kind of people you should hate.

I would understand it more if the secret read "I really hate the look of TOMS".  That would be more understandable because most people have never heard of or see the Alpargata before and when they do, they think it looks funny.  

This secret just really irks me.  Most people do not have the guts, time or money to start what Blake did back in 2006.  He saw there was a problem in Argentina and other places in the world and took a stand and did something about it.  He decided he alone could not solve a world wide problem, so why not get the whole world a part of it to help solve it.

Buying one pair of shoes gives a child in need a pair of shoes.  yes, the shoes tend to run on the pricey side, Classics being $44, but its like buying two pairs of shoes.  Each being $22 dollars.  

If someone really hates people because they chose to wear a style or brand of shoe that they do not like, I think that person needs some serious help.  

TOMS are here, and they are going to be around for a while.  I hope this person gets a lot of negative feedback for their secret.  While they are sitting at home hating those of us who support and wear TOMS, we are the ones helping change the world and put the shoes on children's feet so they can have a better life.
